Tiramisu

You can’t beat homemade Tiramisu right?

Especially if your a coffee lover like us!


We really soaked those sponge fingers in our fave coffee and made the custard ourselves too. The creamy mascarpone , custard , coffee , sponge layers are everything ! It’s so lovely ..







Ingredients :


- 250g mascarpone

- 200ml Strong coffee or espresso ( we used our own coffee which we like drinking so it’s your choice haha)

- Coco powder to dust

-250g creme patisserie

- 175g of Lady fingers


Ingredients for the Creme patisserie:


- 125g cream

- 125g milk

- 2 egg yolks

- 40g caster sugar

- 10g flour



Method:


  1. Boil the milk and cream

  2. Stir with a wooden spoon the egg yolks , caster sugar and flour. Pour the milk over the egg mixture. Pour back into the pan and whisk the mixture constantly . Bring it to a boil. Pop into a clean bowl and cover with cling film ( this will prevent it forming a skin). Then put into the fridge.

  3. Prepare your coffee. Dip your lady fingers into the coffee, really give them a good soak. Lay them in your dish.

  4. Then mix together the mascarpone and the creme patisserie . Spread a layer on top of the coffee soaked lady fingers. Keep adding layers of lady fingers and mascarpone cream mixture until you have no more.

  5. Dust cocoa powder on top. Pop into the fridge until serving . ENJOY ! XX
