Cheeseburger in a brioche bun

Fakeaway Sunday: Unable to pop to our local burger joint we decided to make our own classic cheeseburger in a brioche bun with homemade burger sauce. nom nom..










Ingredients:

For the burger:


-500g beef mince, 12% fat

-1 tsp salt

-1 tsp ground black pepper

-1 Brioche burger bun

- 2 slices of cheddar cheese




Method:

1. In a bowl mix the minced beef with the salt and pepper and using hands form 2 large patties

2. Grill patties, both sides, on a high heat each until browned and cooked through (approx 4-5 mins)

3. Remove from grill and place on kitchen towel. Place cheese slice on each patty. Meanwhile toast buns...both sides.


For the Burger sauce:

- 3 tbsp of mayonnaise

- 2 tbsp of ketchup

-1 Tbsp of American mustard

- 25g cornichons (drained and finely chopped)

- pinch of dried dill

- 1/2 tsp of Dijon mustard

- 2 tsp of cornichon pickle vinegar

- 1 tsp of sweet chilli sauce

- A dash of Tabasco

- A pinch of red chilli flakes



Method:

1. Mix all ingredients together well.

2. Assemble burger and garnish with sliced cucumber, tomato and red onion. Add a large dollop of the burger sauce. ENJOY!XXX
